"Barcelona" for coaches - a puzzle about goalkeepers © EuroFootball.com

After losing two matches in a row, the coaches of Madrid's "Real" team will not only have to think about how to improve the team's game before the upcoming weekend, but also about short-term changes in the goalkeeper positions.

On Saturday, the Catalan club will host "Deportivo" from La Coruña at their home stadium Camp Nou. It is already known that the main goalkeeper of "Barcelona", Victor Valdes, will miss this match. The Catalan received a red card in the clash with Madrid's "Real" for disputes with the referee and now must miss at least one Primera match. Moreover, it is not ruled out that V. Valdes may face even stricter disciplinary sanctions.

There is no doubt that the backup goalkeeper Jose Manuel Pinto will start in the match against "Deportivo", but the "Barcelona" coaches will still need to choose and register his substitute.

In such cases, for Spanish championship matches, the academy team's "Barcelona B" goalkeeper Oieras Olazabal was usually called up, but this time it will not be possible. Last weekend, O. Olazabal was also sent off the field in a match of the second division of Spain with "UD Las Palmas" and cannot be included in the main team's application.

It is thought that his place on the bench will be taken by the second or third "Barcelona B" goalkeepers, Jordi Masip or Miguel Banuzas. However, J. Masip was not registered for the match against "UD Las Palmas" last weekend due to a calf strain, but it is believed that he will recover in time for the match against "Deportivo".

If J. Masip still does not receive medical clearance to play at full strength, his place will be taken by the 19-year-old M. Banuzas.
