Madrid's "Real" strategist Jose Mourinho admitted that in the UEFA Champions League quarterfinals, "Man Utd" was the better team.
The first match between the teams in Madrid ended in a 1-1 draw, while in the second match, "Real" celebrated a 2-1 victory. However, the most discussion was caused by the episode when Nani was sent off the field for a dangerous foul against Alvaro Arbeloa.
"Regardless of the referee's decision, the best team lost tonight," said Mourinho. "Man Utd" played very well, compactly and aggressively in a good way. I doubt if we would have won even with 11 against 11.
"We know that "Man Utd" is a great club not only in terms of physical players, but also psychologically. They have a coach who is able to motivate them excellently, but I expected that after the victories against "Barcelona", we would play differently."
