Mikel Arteta urges London's Arsenal leaders not to spare money for the acquisition of new footballers next summer.
The capital team recently withdrew from the FA Cup tournament and lost the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal match against Bayern Munich 1-3, so they will likely remain without trophies for the eighth consecutive year.
"The fact that we are 24 points behind the leader with 10 games left to play in the Premier League means that we have no chances. This cannot be justified," said Arteta.
"We cannot be in this position, as this club has the best structure I have ever seen. I hope that the necessary steps will be taken in the summer. I know that there are certainly financial possibilities for that."
About the upcoming match against Bayern, the Spaniard added: "It will be even harder away than at home. The German team is the strongest we have played against this season."
