VMFD "Žalgiris" has established the main prize for the "Eurofootball.com" quiz - season-long passes to the team's home matches.
The fourth football quiz, which will take place this Saturday and has gained immense popularity among players, is great news.
The Vilnius City Football Association "Žalgiris" will award annual passes to the best teams of the season.
"When I started organizing the football quiz, I did not expect it to become so popular, but already in the second game, not all teams that wanted to participate could fit, some I had to stop registering," says the quiz creator, question writer, and host Paulius Ambrazevičius.
"It's great that this initiative was noticed and supported by the Vilnius City Football Association "Žalgiris". I think that the prizes established by Žalgiris will truly motivate football enthusiasts to compete even more and strive for higher positions," says P. Ambrazevičius.
More than 150 football enthusiasts, divided into a little over 30 teams, participate in the football quiz that started in November and takes place every month.
Among the players participating or who have participated in the quiz, you can see Zalgiris players - Algirdas Jankauskas, Pavel Komolov, and representatives of the most loyal green and white fans "Pietų IV".
Well-known Lithuanian football commentators, football portals eurofootball.com and penalty.lt, teams of the Lithuanian Football Federation, public figures, Sunday Football League players, and other football enthusiasts constantly participate in the game.
The winners of each game are awarded prizes established by the bar "Juoda Raudona", the Lithuanian Football Federation, "Viasat", and other sponsors.
Currently, the team that has the best chances of winning the Žalgiris season passes is the team where well-known personalities play - comedian Mantas Katleris, television game "What? Where? When?" participant Andrius Zimaitis, and their colleagues. After half of the tournament (after 3 out of 6 games), the leaders of the football quiz have earned 28 ranking points out of 30 possible.
Second in the overall ranking are the "Viasat Sport Baltic" commentators. In this team, Nerijus Kesminas, Gediminas Reklaitis, Maksimas Vojevodinas, Vaidas Čeponis, and FA "Žalgirietis" director Žydrūnas Grudzinskas constantly play. They have collected 22 points.
The third place is held by the "Juventus" team, which includes the brainpower combat expert, sports journalist, and commentator Robertas Petrauskas. "Juventus" has 20 ranking points.
Another quiz will take place on March 16, Saturday, at the bar "Juoda Raudona", starting from 16:30.

Each team can have no more than 6 players, and they can exchange players between rounds. The cost of the game for each participant is 5 Lt.
Reminder: this Saturday, the Vilnius City Football Association "Žalgiris" team will also play matches in the capital. In the A League III round, the Žalgiris team will meet with the FK "Šiauliai" club at the "Sportima" arena at 14:00.
