On Thursday, the "Vilnius" club, currently occupying the seventh place in the "A League" championship, officially announced that they have decided to release four of their legionaries who did not live up to the club's expectations.

According to the club's management, the legionaries did not meet the requirements set for them and did not demonstrate the level of play that was expected of them before the season.

Contracts have been terminated with the Brazilians: forwards Claudio Barbosa, Leonardo, defender Milton Pereira, and goalkeeper from Georgia - David Mekokishvili.

The Georgian player, along with the Brazilian defender M. Pereira, did not appear on the field in the "A League" championship matches, while the forwards C. Barbosa and Leonardo had a few opportunities to show themselves, but failed to score in a team that was not very productive.

Meanwhile, one of the remaining legionnaires in the team, Adrian Mrowiec, who only played cup matches this season due to a serious injury, has successfully undergone a surgery on his right knee ligaments, and after a week the player from Poland will begin rehabilitation. It is estimated that he will not be able to train for about two more months.
