On Sunday, five matches of the 28th round of the "Primera" championship were played in Spain.
At "Camp Nou" stadium, the in-form "Barcelona" clashed with Madrid's "Rayo Vallecano". Jordi Roura's team secured another victory in Spain.
In the first half, the Catalans created more opportunities than their opponents. In the 25th minute, David Villa put the team ahead, and soon after Lionel Messi doubled the lead.
In the 57th minute, D. Villa provided his second assist, which was successfully converted by the Argentine.
In the 70th minute, Raul Tamudo reduced the deficit when Manuel Pinto was beaten by a precise pass from Piti.
The remaining matches were not without surprises. "Malaga" suffered a painful defeat against Barcelona's "Espanyol" in front of their home crowd, while "Sevilla" showed no mercy to "Real Zaragoza" at home. Madrid's "Atletico" comfortably defeated "Osasuna" away, and "Granada" drew with "Levante".
