We won't see Jason Dodd this season © EuroFootball.com

”Captain Jason Dodd ended the season after a collision with Southampton's player Henri Camara.

The veteran was carried off the field on a stretcher with a torn medial knee ligament, and we won't see him playing for at least six weeks.

Southampton physiotherapist Jim Joyce said: "It's a torn knee ligament, we haven't noticed any other injuries for now. Jason Dodd will need to be examined by a specialist as a precaution, but we don't expect he will need surgery."

"The knee scan showed that Dodd avoided a more serious injury, we were afraid it could have ended much worse. Jason will not play this season anymore, but after recovering from the injury he will have time to prepare for the start of the new season.”
