The representative of Dortmund's "Borussia" club confirmed that the team's leaders are interested in the possibility of acquiring Manchester City forward Edin Džeko.
In 2011, the member of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team moved to Manchester for 27 million pounds from the "Wolfsburg" team, but he has been unable to secure a place in the starting lineup.
Out of 70 matches wearing "City" jersey, E. Džeko started only 36 from the beginning of the match, but scored 28 goals during them. The team's strategist Roberto Mancini said that he is a fan of this forward, but admitted that the Bosnian may leave the team in the summer.
Meanwhile, Dortmund's "Borussia" club may have to say goodbye to their main forward Robert Lewandowski in the summer, as he is being targeted by top European clubs.
The club's general director Michael Zorc revealed that the club is interested in the leader of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team, but says that it may be difficult to attract him due to financial reasons.
"I am not sure if E. Džeko is a world-class forward. He is a great player and we would like to have him in our team. However, we need to consider economic factors," Zorc told the newspaper "Bild."
