"West Ham" club will move to play at the London Olympic Stadium in 2016 © EuroFootball.com

London's "West Ham" club signed a contract with the owners of the capital's Olympic Stadium on Friday for a 99-year lease deal.

The renovation of this legendary English club's stadium will cost around 150 million pounds sterling, and the club itself will move to this fortress to play matches in 2016.

"Today was an exciting day. I am very happy that we have signed the contract. "West Ham" club has a bright future ahead," said one of the team's owners, David Gold.

However, the stadium will remain versatile. In 2015, the Rugby World Cup will take place at the London Olympic Stadium. We will also see competitions in other sports.
