Former president of Madrid's "Real" Ramon Calderon criticized the current president Florentino Perez and claimed that he wanted to stop Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer to the Spanish capital's team.

The 61-year-old Spaniard resigned from the royal club's board in 2009. R. Calderon also criticized F. Perez for making the wrong decision to appoint Jose Mourinho as coach.

"Florentino Perez wanted to stop the negotiations with Cristiano Ronaldo. He did not want to see the Portuguese in the team, but we did not pay attention to that," said the former president.

"I will never understand why Perez brought Jose Mourinho to the team. He knew his reputation, what he was like at London's Chelsea and Milan's Inter," Calderon concluded.
