The club once again denied rumors in the press that London has made a specific offer for the purchase of defender Asier Del Horno.
The 24-year-old defender, after a successful season in Spain, attracted significant interest from various European clubs. The left-back's services are actively sought not only by Chelsea, but also by Madrid.
London team coach Jose Mourinho has repeatedly stated that in the summer he will seek to strengthen the left-back position. In his team, after selling Celestine Babayaro, there is practically only one "pure" left-back Wayne Bridge.
The Basque team did not deny that they would be willing to release one of their best defenders to another team for a considerable compensation. According to the existing contract of A. Del Horno, Athletic could not reject offers from other clubs if they were for at least a sum of 20 million euros.
