Italian champions will have to play the key match without a key team forward.
Turin's Juventus forward Mirko Vucinic was not included in the application for the Italian derby against Milan's Inter team.
As announced on the official club website, Montenegro's national team footballer got a cold and did not receive permission from the doctors to come out on the field for Saturday's match.
Before the match, influential Italian newspapers predicted that Juventus head coach Antonio Conte would not have allowed the main team forward to play, as he wanted to save him for next week's UEFA Champions League quarterfinal against Bayern Munich.
Also not included in the application were defender Martin Caceres, who had not yet recovered from a car accident, and injured defenders Mauricio Isla, Simone Pepe, and forward Nicklas Bendtner.
The match will start on Saturday at 16:00 Lithuanian time at the "Giuseppe Meazza" stadium in Milan.
