Javier Zanetti rejects rumors that he plans to end his professional football career after this season.
The Argentine, who will celebrate his 40th birthday in August, has been playing in the main lineup of Milan's Inter and is considered one of the team leaders.
"I think I will play one more season," said Zanetti. "Inter is fighting for a place in the Champions League, so it is our duty to give our all and believe that we can succeed."
This season, the defender has played 28 matches in the Serie A and started all of them in the lineup.
Zanetti has been wearing the Inter jersey since 1995. Before that, he played for his country's Talleres and Banfield clubs.
