In Italy, the young Turkish footballers became the champions of the European U-17 Championship, defeating the Dutch team 2-0 in the final on Saturday.

Both goals were scored by the winners in the second half: D.Yilmaz scored in the 46th minute, and Kose in the 51st. Although the Dutch players created more opportunities during the match, the Turks took better advantage of the chances they had created and triumphed in their age group's European Championship.

In the battle for third place in the tournament, the hosts scored a goal at the end of the match to defeat the Croatians 2-1, securing a spot in the World U-17 Championship along with the Netherlands and Turkey. The World U-17 Championship will take place in Peru this fall.
