At the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland, the draw for the first three stages of the "Intertoto" Cup took place. It was determined that the Lithuanian team (which should be) will play against the Estonian team in the first stage. In the second stage, the winner of this pair would meet a team from Scotland. If they manage to progress further, they would have to play against the winners of the pair of the teams from Denmark/Faroe Islands and France. The first three stages will be played in the months of June-July. The three winners of the "Intertoto" Cup will advance to the UEFA Cup.
