he number of club license recipients in the II League of the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF) has increased to 21 - after appeals, licenses were granted to seven more clubs.

During the LFF Appeals Licensing Committee meeting, it was decided that licenses would be issued to: F.B.K "Kaunas", Prienai "Rūdupis", Vilnius "Rotalis", Vilnius "Ateitis" (Southern zone), Klaipėda "Atlantas-3", Mažeikiai "Atmosfera" and Akmenė "Akmenė" (Western zone).

Two teams, MRU and "Kelmė", did not receive licenses. MRU due to significant violations of the licensing process and unmet legal criteria. Representatives of "Kelmė" did not submit licensing documentation.

In the first stage of decision-making, licenses were granted to 14 clubs: Vilnius "Bekentas", Vilnius "Gariūnai", "Druskininkai," Jonava's "Fajetonas - Lietava-2," Kybartai's "Sveikata," and Trakai's "Trakai-2" (Southern zone); Kretinga's "Minija", Kuršėnai's "Venta", Telšiai's "Mastis", Šiauliai's "Juventa-99", Plungė's "Babrungas", Biržai's "Širvėna", Joniškis' "Žygis" and Jurbarkas' "Vulkanas" (Western zone).

Before the start of the new season, LFF licensing experts will additionally inspect the stadiums of Telšiai, Joniškis, Prienai, Mažeikiai, Akmenė and Vilnius "Paneris" before making a final decision on their use for II League matches.

The 2013 II League championship is planned to start at the end of April - beginning of May.

The final number of participants and the schedule of the matches will be approved by the regional federations responsible for organizing the championship. The Southern zone is organized by the Kaunas County Football Federation (KAFF) and the Western zone by the Telšiai County Football Federation (TAFF).
