On Tuesday evening, teams competing for a place in next year's UEFA Champions League tournament - Arsenal and Everton - met in a highly important English Premier League match.
David Moyes' protégés held their own against the London club at the Emirates stadium - the referee's final whistle ended in a draw.
In the first half, both teams had good opportunities to score, but in the second half, the initiative was taken by the Gunners, while the visitors held on thanks to excellent defending by Phil Jagielka and Seamus Coleman.
Arsenal's footballers are now in third place in the league table, but they could be overtaken by London's Chelsea and Tottenham teams with fewer games played.
Liverpool's team is currently in sixth place.
