On Saturday afternoon, the 8th round of the "SMScredit.lt A Lyga" matches were played in Lithuania.
At the "Gytarių" stadium, for the second time in a row, "Šiauliai" and Panevėžys "Ekranas" tested their strength against each other. Valdas Urbas' team, who had been struggling for a long time, crushed their opponents, 1-4.
In the first half, we did not see any goals, although both teams had opportunities to score. The next 45 minutes were more productive.
The Lithuanian champions took the lead first when Artūras Rimkevičius, who had escaped from the "Šiauliai" defenders, scored the first goal in the championship.

However, it did not take long for the Šiauliai team to respond. After two goals by "Ekranas," the result was softened by the Croat Marko Rašo, but after five minutes, a penalty kick was awarded in front of Tomo Kančelskio's players' goal, which was converted by A.Rimkevičius.
The final point was scored in the 89th minute by Rytis Pilotas, who, after a great run, outplayed Paulius Pocius from a sharp angle.
In the other matches, Tauragės "Tauras" played a goalless draw with Alytus "Dainava" in front of their own fans and earned their first point.
