"

Cannibal". This nickname is given to "Liverpool" forward Luis Suarez. In the English football championship match against London's "Chelsea", the 26-year-old Uruguayan saved his team from defeat by scoring the equalizer in the last minute (2-2), but after the match the footballer came under scrutiny not because of his accurate shot.

L. Suarez, in the 66th minute, while fighting for the ball with "Chelsea" defender Branislav Ivanovic in the penalty area, bit him on the left arm. B. Ivanovic immediately called for the help of referee Kevin Friend, who did not see the incident.

But everything was captured on cameras. It is undeniable that this incident will be investigated and it may be that L. Suarez has already played his last game of this season in the English Premier League.

L. Suarez, who expressed his emotions through biting, already regrets the incident.

"I deeply regret what happened. I apologize to B. Ivanovic and the football world for my inexcusable behavior. I am very sorry," - wrote L. Suarez on his "Twitter" account.

Soon after, his message was also spread by the "Liverpool" club, whose leaders do not hide their criticism and outrage at their star player's behavior.

"The way he acted is inappropriate for any player wearing the Liverpool team shirt. We will take measures and await the decision of the football association. We have reviewed the video footage, we have spoken to Luis - his behavior is completely unacceptable. The player has been informed," - the statement reads.

This is not the first time L. Suarez has fought teeth on the field - in 2010, while still representing Amsterdam's "Ajax", he was disqualified for seven matches for biting Otman Bakkal during a match against PSV Eindhoven in the Dutch football league, and was nicknamed "Ajax Cannibal".

In the 2011 season, L. Suarez was suspended for 8 matches for sending racist insults to "Manchester United" defender Patrice Evra.
