Heynckes: my prepared "Powerpoint" slides helped to "break" the Catalan game © EuroFootball.com

Bayern Munich's coach Jupp Heynckes was not surprised by the impressive performance of the team in the first UEFA Champions League semi-final match against Barcelona.

The German champions crushed the leaders of the Spanish league 4-0 and practically secured their place in the final. All they need now is not to be crushed in the second leg in Barcelona.

"Throughout this season we have been demonstrating incredible football," said Heynckes. "That's why I'm not surprised that we scored four goals. We have been playing at this level for a very long time."

Although the Catalans controlled the ball for 63% of the time, they only managed to make four shots on Bayern's goal.

"Before every match, I analyze the opponent's game," added the coach. "How do they play? What style do they show? How do they move on the field? It's important to have something to resist against, and I did that - I prepared a PowerPoint presentation demonstrating how Barcelona play. My team was very tactically disciplined."

He also added: "It's very important that we didn't concede any goals, and it's even nicer that we scored four ourselves. However, there is no doubt that Barcelona remains one of the best teams in the world. That makes this victory even more impressive."
