Players of London's Arsenal club will perform the usual procedure - after securing the title, welcoming the "Manchester United" team with a guard of honor to pay tribute to the champions.
Ruben van Persie, who played for the "Gunners" for eight years, secured the champions title for the "Red Devils" with his hat-trick in the match against Aston Villa on Monday, and will return to his former team's stronghold as the new champion.
Dutchman and other members of Sir Alex Ferguson's team will be honored when Arsenal players form a guard of honor for the strongest team in England.
"I want English football traditions to be respected. Let's respect Robin van Persie, as well as every player who leaves a team and later plays in our stadium. I want him to be honored," said coach Arsene Wenger.
"He is a great talent with world-class technique and immense experience with the national team and in the Champions League. There was no doubt that he would flourish in Manchester."
"I think playing for Arsenal had a big impact on him as a player. The team always lacks such a good player, but now the situation is stable. We trust in our abilities and crave victory. We have to demonstrate everything we do best, despite the fact that 'United' will already be relaxed," the Frenchman said about the upcoming match.
Wenger says that even next summer, Arsenal's biggest competitors will spare no expense in strengthening their teams. There are rumors that neighboring team Chelsea will lure coach Jose Mourinho and buy forward Radamel Falcao.
"I fear what Chelsea can do this summer. We must be prepared for them to invest the most again. We have heard that they are preparing to buy Falcao, some even say that the deal has already happened, although I have not heard that," the coach concluded.
