On Friday and Saturday in France, seven matches of the XXXIV round of the "Ligue 1" championship were played.

The players of "Marseille", who are in second place, defeated the "Lorient" team away with a minimal result.

The only goal of the match was scored by Mathieu Valbuena in the 25th minute. Interesting events were recorded at the very end of the match - in the 7th minute of added time, "Lorient" goalkeeper Fabien Audard and "Marseille" forward Andre Ayew both received red cards.

After this match, "Marseille" reduced the gap from the leaders PSG to 6 points. The latter will play their round match on Sunday evening.

There were also red cards in the match between "Ajaccio" and the title defenders "Montpellier".

In the 47th minute, the hosts' defender Fousseni Diawara was sent off, and in the 56th minute, "Montpellier" Anthony Mounier took advantage of it and put the champions ahead. However, in the 49th minute, the team's leader Younes Belhanda missed a penalty kick from 11 meters.

Excitement started in the 81st minute - the teams' strengths equalized when the visitor's defender Abdelhamid El Kaoutari was sent off. Soon after, the result was also equalized when Andy Delort converted a penalty kick.

However, the hosts were not satisfied with that, and in the first minute of added time, they snatched the victory after Dennis Oliech's goal.

Impressive matches were recorded in Lille on Friday evening. The local team wasted a three-goal lead against "Sochaux" and the match ended with a 3-3 result. Salomon Kalou ("Lille") and Vincent Nogueira ("Sochaux") scored two goals each for their teams.
