Before the Champions League second leg semi-final match between Madrid's Real and Dortmund's Borussia teams, Spanish coach Jose Mourinho said that in case of defeat, everyone should blame him. The coach insisted that he is not afraid to take the blame, as he does not want to blame the players.
In the first semi-final, Madrid's Real lost 1-4 to Dortmund's team and now they need a miracle to reach the Champions League final.
"Almost always, when a football club wins, everyone celebrates the victory, but when they lose, it's only the coach's fault. I am completely calm, because I know that. There are many fantastic coaches who never won the Champions League. I have even won two trophies for which I thank God. However, I will continue to fight for the third one," said the Portuguese J. Mourinho, who believed in the success of the club.
The Portuguese added that Tuesday's match is the most important for Real club in 10 years: "But I already felt the same before the first leg semi-final match, and we played as if it were a friendly game."
Real coach has already won the Champions League in 2004 with Porto and in 2010 with Inter Milan clubs.
Rumors have long been circulating that the Portuguese will not stay in Madrid after this season. Some speculate that he could return to Chelsea in London, and his place could be taken by Paris Saint-Germain strategist Carlo Ancelotti.
Dortmund's Borussia coach Juergen Klopp spoke cautiously at a press conference: "I don't want to talk about the final yet. I am only interested in Tuesday's match. Everything will be fine only if we play focused. We know that anything can happen in football. Maybe something historical will happen and this time we won't make it to the final. No one knows."
