"Tottenham" club leader Gareth Bale continues to successfully collect one individual award after another.
Recently, the Welsh national team player was voted the best player of the year and the best young player by his colleagues. This time he was named the best by the Football Writers' Association.
The defender became the 15th player to be recognized as the best by both players and journalists in the same season. Bale received 53 percent of the votes in the latest elections.
The best trio along with the Welshman was formed by "Manchester United" striker Robin van Persie and "Chelsea" defender Juan Mata.
"Liverpool" forward Luis Suarez, currently serving a 10-match suspension, received only two votes in these elections.
