Dortmund's Borussia coach Jurgen Klopp seems to have come to terms with the departure of Robert Lewandowski this summer and says that Edin Dzeko is on the club's radar.
This summer, the UEFA Champions League finalist Mario Gotze will not be available, and most likely the sought-after Polish player will also be leaving, with E. Dzeko being a potential replacement.
"I know nothing about a meeting with Edin," Klopp said. "We don't know what will happen to our team in the coming years, so we have to think about this forward."
"Indeed, acquiring Dzeko would require a significant investment, but the doors to Dortmund are open for this player," the coach added.
The Bosnian himself receives very little playing time at Manchester City, so he has stated multiple times that he would like to return to Germany in the future.
