The legendary Amsterdam "Ajax" club secured the champions title in the Netherlands "Eredivisie" championship after playing one more match until the end of the season.
Today, the 33rd round matches were played, in which "Ajax" hosted "Willem II" footballers at home. The hosts secured an easy victory with a score of 5-0.
As it is known, there are 34 rounds in the Dutch championship. The victory of the "Ajax" club determined the title of champions, as they pulled away from the second-placed PSV footballers by a four-point margin.
The team from the city of Amsterdam won the title for the third consecutive time, and became the Dutch champions 32 times in their history.
