The Dortmund "Borussia" team, which has made it to the final of the UEFA Champions League, officially announced that they have extended their contract with long-time goalkeeper Roman Weidenfeller until 2016.
The experienced 32-year-old German is irreplaceable in the Dortmund team and does not give up his goalkeeper position to others.
"Of course, we are happy that Roman agreed to extend his contract. He is exceptional and reliable in our team," said sports director M. Zorc.
The goalkeeper himself admitted that when he arrived in Dortmund, he promised to play until the end of his career, and at the moment, he does not even think about moving to another team.
R. Weidenfeller joined "Borussia" in 2002. Throughout the entire period, he has played 288 matches in the Bundesliga championship.
