On Wednesday, the only Premier League match played in England featured London teams Chelsea and Tottenham battling for better positions before the end of the championship.
In the duel held at Stamford Bridge stadium, the hosts took the lead twice, but failed to maintain the advantage - the match ended in a 2-2 draw.
Such a scenario should have pleased fans of the capital's Arsenal club - the "Blues" currently in third place in the league table are just a stumble away from direct Champions League qualification, while their eternal rivals from North London remain in fifth place.
It should be noted that the top three teams get a direct ticket to next year's UEFA Champions League tournament, while the fourth-placed team has to go through playoff matches.
The hosts took the lead in the 10th minute when Oscar scored with a header from a corner, but midway through the first half, balance was restored by an impressive strike from outside the box by Emmanuel Adebayor.
The "Chelsea" players left the dressing room happier, as in the 39th minute they were once again ahead thanks to a great pass from Fernando Torres finished by Ramires.
In the second half, Rafael Benitez's players had several good chances to score and send Tottenham out of the competition, but they failed to capitalize on them, and with 10 minutes left until the end of the match, Gylfi Sigurdsson beat Petr Cech - 2-2.
