Rising star of the Gelzenkirchen "Schalke" club Julian Draxler has signed a new contract with the team, valid until 2018.
Recently, the German was linked with a move to Dortmund's "Borussia", which will lose one of its leaders Mario Gotze in the summer, but the player himself denied any rumors. According to media reports, attacking midfielder is also being eyed by "Juventus" and "Real" clubs.
The player's old contract with the German team was valid until the summer of 2016, so it was decided by mutual agreement to extend it and increase the player's salary.
J. Draxler is a product of the "Schalke" club's youth academy, who has grown into one of the most important players in the team over the past seasons. This season, in 29 matches, the German scored 9 times and the team currently occupies the 4th place, with two rounds left until the end of the championship.
