Ferguson: I don't understand "Man City" decision to fire Mancini. © EuroFootball.com

Former Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson criticizes the decision of "Man City" leaders to dismiss Roberto Mancini from his coaching duties. The Italian, who had been with the team for three and a half years, had his contract terminated on Monday, despite winning three trophies during this period.

"It's quite incredible. He won the FA Cup and played in the final once, triumphed in the Premier League and was once second, but is that not enough?" - wondered Ferguson, who is ending his impressive career at "Man Utd" club after this season.

"When I found out about this, I was surprised. Although, to be honest, you probably can't say that knowing the owners of today. It's hard to be surprised, but I don't think it's fair."

The favorite to take Mancini's place is Chilean Manuel Pellegrini, who is currently coaching "Malaga" this season.
