Jose Mourinho counts down the final hours at Real Madrid. According to the Spanish press, the Portuguese will be dismissed before the end of this season.

It was expected that the contract of the specialist, still valid for three more years, would be terminated in June, after playing the last match of the season. However, the unsuccessful end of the season - a loss in the final of the Spanish King's Cup to Atletico Madrid - and internal conflicts prompted Real President Florentino Perez to speed up the process.

In the national championships, the capital team has two games left to play - against Real Sociedad away and finally against Osasuna at home - where the duties of the coach will most likely be taken over by the reserve team coach Alberto Torilas.

Mourinho himself, whose career is likely to turn back to Chelsea in London, would like to finish the season honorably and then step down. However, on Monday he was summoned to a board meeting of Real, where his fate will be decided. In his three years in Madrid, he has only managed to win one Spanish champion title and win the Spanish King's and Super Cups once each.

Paris Saint-Germain coach Carlo Ancelotti, who has not kept secret of his desire to take over the reins of the Royal Club from Mourinho, has received an offer. However, it is still unclear whether the French will release the Italian as he has a valid contract.
