Emilijus Zubas made an impression on the scouts of Liverpool with his game. Scouts of the English Premier League club watched the match between Belchatow GKS and Lubin Zaglebie teams.
Representatives of the world-famous club had spotted a few footballers whom they were watching, but none of them seemed suitable. However, the scouts noticed a Lithuanian goalkeeper playing for GKS, who so far has received only praise in Poland.
22-year-old E. Zubas not only played great throughout the whole match, but also blocked two opponent shots during extra time.
"He deserves a beer bottle. Even two, because what he did was incredible," - said his teammate Mateuzs Makas about the Lithuanian.
Simon Sawala also praised him. "I am sure that sooner or later the whole world will hear about him," he said. Meanwhile, the Lithuanian himself remained humble.
"I am glad to hear all the praise, but I prefer to sit quietly and do what I have to do," - said E. Zubas.
