In Brazil, negotiators from "Barcelona" have so far failed to convince the leaders of "Santos" to sell the team's star Neymar.
According to Spanish sports newspapers, the Catalans offered 18 million euros for 55 percent of the rights to the forward, but "Santos" was not satisfied with this amount and the offer was rejected.
As reported by the Catalan newspaper "El Mundo Deportivo", on Wednesday "Barcelona" increased their offer for Neymar to 20 million euros and is awaiting a response from the Brazilians. "Santos" has also been presented with an offer to play friendly matches with Barcelona, with all profits going to the Brazilian team.
If the negotiators from the Spanish champions successfully conclude talks with "Santos", they will then have to negotiate with the investment sports groups "DIS" and "TEISA", which own the remaining 45 percent of the rights to Neymar. It is believed that the total price for the footballer could reach 40-50 million euros.
According to unofficial information, the star Neymar from "Santos" is also wanted by the Spanish and English vice-champions, Madrid's "Real" and "Manchester City".
