The Dortmund "Borussia" club confirmed that defender Felipe Santana is leaving the UEFA Champions League finalist.
It is reported that Gelzenkirchen's "Schalke" acquired the Brazilian for 1 million euros. The main reason for his departure is a lack of playing time.
"I would like to thank the fans and players of 'Borussia'," said F. Santana. "I need to play more regularly, otherwise I definitely won't play for the Brazilian national team."
F. Santana arrived in Dortmund in 2008 from "Figueirense." During his time, the Brazilian played 100 matches for the German vice-champions.
It is worth mentioning that Bremen's "Werder" defender Sokratis Papastathopoulos joined the "Borussia" team. The club management was pleased with the new acquisition, as he is a versatile footballer.
