The new coach of "Manchester United" team, David Moyes, has already compiled a list of possible purchases, and the club has made initial contacts with "Barcelona" regarding the acquisition of Cesc Fabregas, reports "ESPN".
The former Everton coach has decided to significantly strengthen the defensive line of the English champions and this summer will try to acquire at least two players in this position.
At the top of the list are Marouane Fellaini, Thiago Alcantara and Fabregas. Moyes would like to make a statement-worthy purchase, especially if the team's star Wayne Rooney were to leave.
Sources at "United" have confirmed to "ESPN" that negotiations have already begun for Thiago and Fabregas. "Barcelona" would be willing to allow Thiago to talk for 18 million pounds, where he would have the final decision, but the situation with Fabregas would be more complex.
It is still unclear whether the former Arsenal defender would be willing to leave the Spanish champions and join one of the "gunners'" main rivals in the Premier League.
Moyes will have to fill the gaps that have arisen this summer and in the past. The team has already lost the retiring Paul Scholes, the future of Darren Fletcher is still uncertain due to illness, and Anderson could be sold.
