Arvydas Novikovas officially leaves financially troubled Edinburgh "Hearts" club after the end of his contract.
The Lithuanian national team right-back represented the Scottish team for five years. He arrived in 2008 from the no longer existing "FK Vilnius" and played 77 matches, scoring five goals. In addition, in 2011 Novikovas was loaned to the "St. Johnstone" club.
However, recently the technical player has not hidden that physical strength and Scotland's football based on long high passes are not the most suitable for him, so he will seek to test his skills in another league.
It is said that the next stop in his career could be Germany - several prestigious top league clubs are interested, as well as teams from lower divisions.
In the national team, Novikovas played 12 matches and is included in the squad for the match against Greece on June 7.
