Ukrainian midfielder Anatoliy Tymoshchuk announced that he is leaving the Bayern Munich club and intends to return to the Zenit St. Petersburg team.
The 34-year-old footballer announced his departure on Sunday. He has signed a two-year contract with Zenit.
He played for Zenit from 2007 to 2009. During this time, he scored 18 goals in over 100 matches and helped the team win the Russian league in 2007 and the UEFA Cup in 2008.
This year, Tymoshchuk won the German league and cup with Bayern and triumphed in the Champions League.
