Brazilian football legend continues to hold his opinion. According to Pele, Neymar's arrival at Barcelona can help him become even better than Lionel Messi at an even faster pace.
The former footballer often gets into arguments with Argentine Diego Maradona, where Neymar and L. Messi are compared.
"Neymar has definitely improved over the last two years," Pele insisted. "As for Lionel and him, I can only say that the Argentine is a great footballer, but Neymar has a great opportunity to become even better than him."
The 72-year-old Brazilian was slightly unhappy that Santos allowed the 21-year-old forward to leave for Spain, but he wishes him the best of luck.
"I'm not very happy that Santos lost a young and excellent footballer. But he is the best in Brazil, so his departure abroad will benefit him," added Pele.
