The Munich "Bayern" duo decided to link their future with the UEFA Champions League champions.
Bavarian defender Franck Ribery has signed a new contract with the club until 2017, while veteran Daniel Van Buyten will stay at the club for another year.
Several European giants were interested in the Frenchman's services, however, the footballer was not tempted by offers from other teams and stayed in Munich.
D. Van Buyten was ready to leave this summer, but with the experienced defender, "Bayern" decided to extend the contract for another season.
"They are needed and important in our team, so they will continue to defend the honor of the team," said the manager of the German champions.
