The president of the Spanish football league, Javier Tebas, predicts that a large part of the most talented players will leave the country due to financial problems in the coming years.
This summer, Jesus Navas moved from "Sevilla" to "Man City", Radamel Falcao transferred from Madrid's "Atletico" to "Monaco". In addition, there are doubts whether talented "Malaga" defender Isco and the most prolific players in the national championships, Alvaro Negredo and Roberto Soldado, will stay in "La Liga" next season.
According to Tebas, selling players is the only way for many clubs to solve their financial difficulties.
"Fans must be prepared for the departure of a large number of footballers, which will happen over the next three to four years. Clubs need to reduce their debts," the president said.
He also added that the goal is to popularize Spanish football on a global scale: "We need to seek popularity in various foreign countries to increase revenue from the sale of broadcasting rights. This may require changing the times of matches."
