Mourinho invited journalists (AP) Jose Mourinho - no longer "The Special One", but "The Happy One". This he declared at a press conference attended by more than 250 journalists, where he was presented as the new coach of London's "Chelsea".

The Portuguese coach has already trained the English club from 2004-2007. Back then, after arriving from "Porto" following an unexpected triumph in the UEFA Champions League, during his first interview with journalists he referred to himself as "The Special One".

Now Mourinho claims to be calmer and more knowledgeable, hoping that this will be reflected in the results.

Experience will help

"I think I am calmer. Furthermore, I have never had as much knowledge as I do now," said Mourinho, whose tone throughout the entire meeting with journalists was considerably less arrogant than usual, becoming an unusual aspect of his demeanor. "When I started my career in 2000, I thought I knew everything, but after so many years, I realize that one must learn every day.

"The adventures I have experienced in Europe have been fantastic: I have seen many countries, different cultures, different media. Now a new phase begins, as I am only 50 years old - as a coach, I am quite young."

He added that he was not disappointed that he did not receive offers to take over the reins of the other two English giants - "Man Utd" or "Man City": "I am where I wanted to be - I would not change that for anything else."

And he added: "My career is based on success and victories. With every club, I have won trophies and left different marks. I believe we will win no less than during the first part of my career here.

Denies conflict with Abramovich

When Mourinho left "Chelsea" in 2007, at the beginning of the season, the media reported on his conflict with the club owner Roman Abramovich. However, Mourinho emphasized that their relationship had always been good.

"Talk of conflict is not true," the strategist said. "I constantly read that we quarreled and that's why I was fired. We simply both agreed that change was the best solution, so we accepted it, although it was not easy.

"I am coming back because we both believe we are at the best stage of our careers, ready to work under much better conditions. I believe it will bring stability."

Earlier, the Portuguese semi-jokingly mentioned that he was not afraid of being fired, as he would receive a million-dollar compensation for the terminated contract and would easily find a new job in a few months without major problems.

Believes he has overcome Barcelona's dominance

Mourinho is coming to England from Spain, where he coached Madrid's "Real" for three years. Although during this time he only managed to win two prestigious trophies: the Spanish championship once and the King's Cup once, the Portuguese coach believes he has overcome Barcelona's dominance.

Commenting on the statement of Barcelona's goalkeeper Andres Iniesta that his behavior harmed Spanish football, the coach retorted: "I only harmed them by destroying Barcelona's dominance as a coach. They dominated, dominated, dominated, and it seemed like there would be no end to it.

However, :Real' won the cup final, the Super Cup, won against "Barcelona" in their field, won the Spanish championship with 100 points and 121 goals scored. We were the best team in the history of the Spanish league."
