Artūras Rimkevičius, who successfully competed in the Lithuanian championship, is heading towards exotic Brunei - the footballer has joined hands with the Bandar Seri Begawan DPMM team.
According to the club's announcement, the 30-year-old Lithuanian played several friendly matches and left a positive impression on the coaches, so he was offered a contract.
The news was confirmed by "Ekrano" sports director Deimantas Bička: "The contract with Rimkevičius has already been terminated. "Ekrano" club no longer has any rights to this player. He will continue his career far from Lithuania."
After an impressive last season, during which he scored 35 goals in the Lithuanian championship, Rimkevičius attracted attention from abroad. He participated in reviews by teams from Israel, Scotland, and other countries, but contracts were not signed due to health problems.
Finally, the striker returned to his homeland and put on the jersey of Panevėžys "Ekrano". In nine matches in the ranks of the Lithuanian champions, he scored six goals.
DPMM, coached by Croatian specialist Vjeran Simunič, competes in the Singapore championship. After 14 rounds, the team is in seventh place out of twelve teams with 19 points.
