The president of the Spanish club, Francisco Garcia, claims that coach Martin O'Neill should have left the Scottish team a long time ago.
Garcia spoke about his opponents in the UEFA Cup: "I find it hard to believe that O'Neill still leads Celtic. He should have moved to a more powerful club a long time ago." However, the club president quickly added: "Of course, I don't mean to say that Celtic is not a powerful club."
"There are many more powerful clubs in Europe, and just imagine what Martin could do with as much money as the coaches of powerful clubs have," Garcia continued. "What he has achieved with Celtic so far, he has done almost without money to buy players, so think about what he could do if he could spend a lot of money and buy the best players."
"I just find it hard to believe why no club has tempted him so far," expressed Francisco Garcia his amazement.
