On Friday evening, the vice champions of England, "Manchester City," announced that they have a new team strategist.
The position has been taken by Manuel Pellegrini, who has been associated with the team for a long time and has previously worked at financially troubled "Malaga" club.
The Chilean takes over from Roberto Mancini, who was dismissed before the end of the season, and will start working on June 24th. He has signed a three-year contract with the team.
The 59-year-old strategist has previously managed teams such as "Real Madrid" and "Villarreal," and in the past coached less famous clubs in Argentina, Chile, and Ecuador.
"I am happy to have this great opportunity. The club aims to be successful both on and off the field, and I can contribute to that success. I am delighted to be able to work with such a talented team," the strategist said.
