During the night from Sunday to Monday, the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup match took place in Brazil.

In a late match, the world and European champions, Spain, faced the challenge of Uruguay. Vicente Del Bosque's students secured a simple victory with a score of 2-1.

Since the start of the match, the European champions began to demonstrate their typical football and dominated the field. The first dangerous episode was created in the 10th minute when Cesc Fabregas hit the ball towards the Uruguayan goal.

It didn't take long for the first goal to arrive - just ten minutes into the game, the Uruguayan goalkeeper already had to retrieve the ball from his own net. The goal was scored by Pedro, whose shot hit Diego Lugano, ricocheted off the defender, and went into the net.

After the goal, Spain continued to control the ball, but in the 30th minute, Uruguay created their first dangerous attack when Luis Suarez lifted the ball into the penalty area, and Edinson Cavani headed the ball straight at Iker Casillas.

In the 32nd minute, the second goal fell into the Uruguayan net. After an excellent pass by C. Fabregas, forward Roberto Soldado made his mark in the striker position. Although Spain had chances to score more goals in the rest of the first half, the score remained unchanged.

In the second half, Spain's "tiki-taka" game continued, and they created many dangerous moments near Fernando Muslera's goal.

Nevertheless, the Spaniards failed to score more goals in this match. However, in the 88th minute, Luis Suarez softened the result with a distant penalty shot that beat I. Casillas.

At the final whistle, a minimal but comfortable victory for the Spanish national team, 2-1.
