On Sunday in the final round of the Portuguese championship, Lisabon's "Benfica" footballers drew 1-1 and secured the 25th title as champions in the club's history.

In this round, a draw was enough for the Lisbon club, but their main rivals "Porto" also only managed a draw, so a loss for the "Benfica" footballers would have secured the title after an 11-year break.

In next year's UEFA Champions League tournament, "Benfica" secured first place, with "Porto" in second. In the Champions League third qualifying round, the remaining Lisbon team "Sporting" secured a spot.

In the UEFA Cup, "Braga" and "Vitoria Guimaraes" clubs claimed fourth and fifth places, while country cup finalist "Vitoria Setubal" also secured their spot.

The top tier of Portuguese league will see clubs like "Moreinense", "Estoril", and "Beira Mar" leaving, with "Pacos Ferreira", "Estrela Amadora", and "Naval Primeiro Maio" taking their places.
