The defender of the Brazilian national team and London's Chelsea club, David Luiz, will need a nose operation.
During the Confederations Cup match between the national teams of Brazil and Mexico, the football player collided with his teammate Thiago Silva. After the match, it was revealed that the player had broken his nose.
However, D. Luiz will still be able to continue participating in this tournament, which will end on June 30th. The operation for the footballer will be performed at the beginning of July.
"My nose is broken, but it's part of the game. Now I will have to wait until the tournament is over and my nose will be operated on," said the Brazilian officially to the Chelsea website.
Brazil leads Group A after two rounds. The team led by Luiz Felipe Scolari has won both of their matches, and will play the last one on Saturday against Italy.
