"Brighton" club coach Gus Poyet heard that he lost his job while working as a guest expert on live BBC television.
After the club's board deliberation, the Uruguayan was dismissed from his head coach duties, but he heard this news not personally, but while being in the television studio.
"It's a great story for BBC television, because when a coach finds out he lost his job from the BBC, such a situation truly surprises," said G. Poyet.
The coach also stated that he promises to appeal this decision.
"The only thing that matters to me now is the appeal. I can't stand this situation, because after this decision, I will be delayed with lawyers. They are already reading a letter that I don't even have, so it's hard for me to comment on all of this.
"I need to read everything, but no matter what they write in that letter, I will appeal," said the strategist.
Last season, under G. Poyet's guidance, the "Brighton" team finished in fourth place in the second division.
