Andrey Arshavin, who became a free agent, is most likely to wear the "Zenit" Saint Petersburg shirt again.
The head of the company "Gazprom", which owns the Russian team, Aleksei Miller indirectly confirmed the player's return.
"Arshavin is a product of the "Zenit" team and I think it would be right if he ends his career in this club. He is a great Russian footballer," said Miller.
Last season, the 32-year-old attacking midfielder played only 11 matches for London's "Arsenal" team.
