Madrid's "Real" on Tuesday officially appointed the famous specialist from Italy, Carlo Ancelotti.

The 54-year-old strategist signed a three-year contract. In this position, he replaced Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho, whose contract was terminated by mutual agreement after an unsuccessful previous season.

"Knowing what it means to train the best teams on the continent, such as Juventus, Milan, Chelsea, or PSG, Ancelotti arrives to lead an intriguing new project," the Real statement says.

During the last season, the coach trained PSG and won the French championship, but after receiving an offer from Madrid, he asked to leave.

Throughout his career, the Italian has won a multitude of trophies: twice he won the UEFA Champions League, once each the Italian and English championships, as well as trophies from the FIFA Club World Cup, the FA Cup, and others.
